Calling all women interested in Asian movies directed by Asian women.
We’d love to see you at the 5th edition of our Asian Women Cinema event, where we highlight asian women filmmakers and give the opportunity to talk about how sex, race and class are portrayed in film and media!
We are happy to announce we will be screening the documentary 7 Beats Per Minute directed by Yuqi Kang.
Come dive in the deep sea with Jessea, the world-record freediver and follow her inspiring journey where she is looking at who she truly is, and how her relationship as a subject with the director takes a deep dive as well.
Come hear her story !
There will be an online discussion after the screening with the director Yuqi Kang and Jessea Lu.
The film is in English, Mandarin with French subtitles.

On regardera ensemble le documentaire de Yuqi Kang, 7 Battements Par Minute.
Venez plonger dans les profondeurs avec Jessea Lu, championne de plongée en apnée et monitrice chevronnée. Venez suivre son parcours inspirant, là où elle a découvert qui elle est vraiment, ainsi que la naissance de la relation entre elle et la réalisatrice !
Une discussion en ligne sera suivie de la projection avec la réalisatrice Yuqi Kang et la protagoniste Jessea Lu!
C'est un documentaire en anglais, mandarin sous-titré en français.
