Zoe Goodall will discuss her thesis, which examined the question, "How was the issue of Indigenous women in prostitution represented at the deliberations over Canada's Bill C-36?"
As well as discussing the findings of her thesis, Zoe will discuss how her perspective of the Canadian deliberations was shaped by her position as an Australian. In Australia, there are similar issues to Canada in relation to the sex industry, however, the discussion is affected by inconsistent legislation and decades of legalisation/decriminalisation.
