Asian Women for Equality is a non-profit organization working as a progressive force to change societal attitudes towards women, especially women of Asian descent; to advance equality for Asian women; and to create opportunities for Asian women to have meaningful participation and to take leadership roles in civil society. 

 

As a small but dedicated group of women working for social change, we are looking for someone passionate about advancing equality for women to help us grow our organization and advance our mission.

Program Coordinator

As our Program Coordinator, you will partner with us as we continue to grow our organization and capacity in a few different ways:

 

We work with a wide range of community groups on projects that support our shared goals. Over the past year, we have renewed several partnerships and begun building relationships with new organizations. In this role, you will help strengthen these connections and support our work with both existing and emerging partners.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
 

  • Developing and implementing a robust workshop and education program to develop skills and knowledge. Including the development  and delivery of training, possibly recruiting speakers and trainers for specialized topics

  • Conducting information gathering from new and existing audiences; synthesizing information and reports to support organizational decision-making

  • Seeking out and developing opportunities to engage with new people in diverse communities - for example representing the organization at community fairs, presentations and other public events.​

Working Conditions:

  • Full‑time (12 months): April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027

  • Monday–Friday, with some evenings and weekends as required

  • Hybrid work model with regular in‑person hours in East Vancouver

  • Annual salary: $51, 156

  • Position start date is subject to funding
